| | | | | | | | Third Law - What people are saying | | “Third Law break modern conventions with their music, combining the rawness of the Buzzcocks, the darkness of Joy Division, and the madness of Adam and the Ants, to create two minute epics, that sound nothing like their contemporaries.” TheGirlWith | | Third Law Kicked off the night with their Metallica sounding rhythm and flawless lead guitar. That offered hot, sexy solos leaving fellow guitarists drooling in the audience. The Bass player played like a lead guitarist, impressive to watch and the lead vocals were easy to get into. The distant jangle of the tambourine and back-up vocals were a real compliment to the rocking bass lines." VB@H Fanzine | | "Third Law play a very classy and appealingly melodic hard rock with quite a retro feel, which reminds me a bit of Midnight Oil and the Aussie rock brigade." | | What are Third Law all about then? | | Third Law are one of Luton music scene’s best kept secrets; purveyors of soulful, powerful, and often deeply-moving lyrical music, whose live shows leave their audiences breathless. | | Where does the band name come from? Paul explains... | | "The band's name came from a PHAB conference many years ago involving coffee going cold when you leave it....that was Kirsty's Third Law. Kirtsty's Third Law was the working name of a band that was put together for a gig at Cassio College in Watford but that name wasn't use (we went under the name Psychic Wildcats instead) but at the same I was starting to promote gigs at the Levi in Watford and used the Third Law as the name of the promotion 'company'. I then bought thirdlawmusic.co.uk and used that for promotion and when we were looking for a name after we got bored with Albert we chose Third Law as we had the website. That became a dot com after Freenetname started charging and the that's where we are now." | | What does the future hold? | | The future looks very bright and the feeling within the band is one of optimism - Third Law is a band that is still
bettering itself after nearly 10 years and sounding stronger and more powerful than ever. |
